The Front Steps Have Been Rebuilt
Preserving the beauty and integrity of the Belmont Courthouse is important to the board of trustees, but so is the safety of our visitors.
To help make the courthouse easier to access, the front steps have been rebuilt. Trustee Stretch Baker was the project lead and the work was done by Perchetti Construction. Our main goal, besides providing safer access, was to be as faithful as possible to the original design. An unusual feature of this rebuild was the addition of handrails made of mine car rail and fabricated by Stretch Baker.
