Belmont Courthouse - Belmont, Nevada

Rebuilding the Belmont Jail – Update:

It took two lifts working in tandem to set the jail cells, but we can proudly say the mission was accomplished on Tuesday, June 17!  Stretch Baker, assisted by Brett Perchetti and Mike Silas, spent the day at the courthouse seeing to every last detail.  Please come and visit us during Belmont’s Fourth of July celebration and see the fruit of their labors in person.

We’re starting our active fundraising program NOW to rebuild the back wall and would appreciate your donation!

Order engraved bricks to help Friends of the Belmont Courthouse fund the rebuild of the Belmont Courthouse Jail.

100% of your purchase will be dedicated to this project and a brick bearing the name of you and/or your loved ones will be set into the exterior of the back wall for future visitors to see.  Play a role in helping to rebuild our history! Click Here to Order

Rebuilding the Belmont Jail

Friends of the Belmont Courthouse, led by trustees Stretch Baker and Tracy Bilyeu and in cooperation with Perchetti Construction, have undertaken the ambitious goal of rebuilding the Belmont jail, located at the back of the courthouse. Work to-date includes the installation of a concrete pad and a wooden walkway around the cells.

This is the first time the cells will have been in their original location since December 1942, when the back wall was taken down and the cells were moved to Gabbs.

Your donations to help rebuild the back wall are greatly appreciated.

Would you like a brick, engraved with your name, to be set into the back wall when it is rebuilt?
